I Asked You For Life

I just thought I'd share some lyrics that really spoke to me

These are from a song called I Asked You For Life by Kim Walker. 

"I asked you for life, and you sent your son to die for me.
I asked you for hope, you came in the night and gave me a dream.
I asked you for freedom, you broke every chain and gave me the keys.
I asked you for love never-ending and every day you surround me!"

As I listened to this song I really just sat and took in what the words said. 

When we ask God for something, He always answers, as the Bible says “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." (Luke 11:9)

 He gave us life, He gave us hope, He gave us freedom and He gave us love. Not only did He give us these things but He continues to give these to us every day. 

I'm not sure there is really much more to say about it, but I know that when I ask for something I need to believe that my prayer will be answered, because aHe answers prayers!

Thankful for: Sleep

I know I was thankful for rest the other day but after having very little sleep last night I realise how great it is! I have had a cough for the past week and am finding it difficult to get to sleep to night, just as I'm about to sleep I cough and wake myself up. It has made me realise just how important sleep really is and I appreciate it a lot more than I had done. So I am thankful for sleep because I know just how important it is for us all.
